Mental health outpatient program at Kolmac: Structured support for adults

Not every mental health concern calls for a high level of intervention. You may still go to work, keep up with responsibilities, and manage your day-to-day life, but something can feel off. Your mood and focus may not be where they used to be.

What often impedes mental health support is not whether it would help, but whether it aligns. We designed our outpatient program with that in mind.

Kolmac Integrated Behavioral Health provides outpatient mental health care that works alongside your life. The goal is to give you a consistent place to address what you’re experiencing, without asking you to put everything on hold.

What is an outpatient mental health program?

Mental health care is not a one-size-fits-all approach. Different levels of support exist depending on what you need, and outpatient programs sit at a level that offers consistency without requiring a full-time commitment from you.

With outpatient care, you attend scheduled sessions throughout the week rather than spending full days in treatment. Our care provides more structure than occasional therapy while remaining manageable as part of your routine.

Is mental health OP right for you?

Mental health outpatient care serves individuals who manage their daily lives but sense that something isn’t quite right. It may be a good fit if you:

  • Feel stress that’s more constant or harder to manage than it used to be
  • Notice changes in your mood, focus, or energy that are affecting your day-to-day life
  • Have tried individual therapy but need more consistency and structure
  • Are looking for an entry point into treatment without committing to a higher level of intensity

For many patients, this program is where treatment begins — a way to get consistent support while staying connected to work, family, and routine.

Should circumstances become more challenging to handle, we might suggest a more thorough type of support, such as mental health intensive outpatient treatment (IOP) or our partial hospitalization program (PHP).

Our process starts with an assessment to understand what you’re going through and to guide you to the right place.

What the Kolmac mental health OP includes

Care at Kolmac is structured, but not inflexible. Our outpatient program provides consistent care that evolves as your needs change. You’re not placed into a fixed track to follow; we adjust care so that it continues to reflect where you are at this moment.

We also recognize that mental health and substance use can go together. When that’s the case, we coordinate care, so we address both at the same time rather than treating them separately.

Here’s what you can typically expect with Kolmac:

Individual and group therapy sessions

Our care includes both individual and group therapy. In individual sessions, you work one-on-one with a clinician to focus on your specific experiences and goals. Group sessions allow you to build skills and hear from others navigating similar challenges.

This combination supports you in two ways: by helping you work through your specific experiences and by building practical skills alongside others who understand what that’s like.

Psychiatric evaluation and medication management

If medication can help, we include psychiatric evaluation and ongoing management as part of your care.

Rather than taking a one-time approach, we monitor how you’re responding and adjust as needed, so your treatment stays aligned with whatever you’re experiencing.

Flexible scheduling and telehealth

We build our scheduling around your availability, not the other way around. You can attend sessions at times that allow you to stay consistent without disrupting the rest of your life.

We also offer telehealth options, so you can attend remotely when needed. This helps reduce the barriers that often make it harder to stay engaged in care over time.

Levels of care: How OP fits into the continuum

Outpatient care sits within a broader continuum of care at Kolmac. You can start here if your symptoms are manageable but still impacting your daily life. Others step into outpatient care after completing a more intensive program.

As your needs change, we adjust your care so you continue to receive the right level of support. We may also incorporate services like mental health counseling to support your progress.
