Kolmac: a legacy of innovation in outpatient behavioral health

For over 50 years, Kolmac Integrated Behavioral Health has led the way in redefining addiction treatment. As the first provider in the country to offer an intensive outpatient (IOP) program for alcohol use disorder, Kolmac helped shift the industry away from hospitalization and toward accessible, community-based care that allows patients to heal without leaving their lives behind.

Kolmac’s model quickly expanded to address a range of substance use disorders—including opioids and stimulants—while integrating evidence-based harm reduction strategies such as medication-assisted treatment. In response to growing community needs, Kolmac also became one of the few IOP-level providers to offer structured support for gambling disorders.

Since expanding beyond substance use treatment to offer comprehensive mental health services, Kolmac has continued to evolve its approach to behavioral healthcare. Today, Kolmac provides a full continuum of Outpatient Mental Health Care designed to support adolescents, adults, couples, and families experiencing a wide range of behavioral health challenges, including depression, anxiety, mood disorders, trauma, and co-occurring conditions.

Kolmac’s approach to mental health reflects the same principles that have guided its addiction care for decades: personalized treatment, clinical excellence, and a belief that recovery happens best in the context of everyday life. With over 50,000 patients served, Kolmac remains a trusted name for people seeking meaningful, lasting change.
