Continuing Care

The mission of the Kolmac Clinic's continuing care program is to provide treatment to those individuals with substance use disorders who have begun their rehabilitation in either a residential or outpatient setting.

The continuing care phase of treatment refers to the treatment that occurs after the patient completes the rehabilitation phase of treatment. At the Clinic, continuing care consists of once weekly 2-hour group therapy sessions that are co-led by two licensed or certified clinicians. This phase of recovery can last, depending upon the patient's needs, for up to 70 weeks.

Historically, Kolmac has limited admission to its continuing care groups to individuals who have completed intensive outpatient rehab through the Kolmac program. We now treat patients in the Continuing Care program who have begun their rehabilitation at another substance abuse treatment facility. We believe that this will fill an unmet need in the community for an organized approach to this level of care.
