About Dr. Gagliardi
- Dr. Gagliardi practiced Family Medicine for 25 years before becoming Associate Medical Director of the Kolmac Clinic. In 1986, Dr. Gagliardi was among the first 800 physicians nationally certified as specialists in Addiction Medicine by the American Society of Addiction Medicine. Dr. Gagliardi received his M.D. degree from the State University of New York at Buffalo (1979), his M.A. degree in Counseling from the University of Maryland College Park (1975) and his A.B. degree from the University of Notre Dame (1971). For the past 22 years, as an Adjunct Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at the University of Maryland School of Medicine, he has taught medical students about addictions issues. Over the past 36 years, Dr. Gagliardi has worked in the field of addictions from three perspectives: as a consultant developing prevention programs, as an addictions counselor and as a physician.
