Continuing Care Center
In January, 2005, the Kolmac Clinic announced the creation of its Continuing Care Center. The mission of the Center is to provide treatment to those individuals with substance use disorders who have begun their rehabilitation in either a residential or inpatient setting. The continuing care phase of treatment refers to the treatment that occurs after the patient completes the rehabilitation phase of recovery. At the Center, continuing care consists of once weekly 2-hour group therapy sessions that are co-led by two licensed or certified clinicians. This phase of recovery can last, depending upon the patient's needs, for up to 70 weeks. Historically, Kolmac has limited admission to its continuing care groups to individuals who have completed intensive outpatient rehabilitation through the Kolmac program. We are now going to treat patients in the Continuing Care Center who have begun their rehabilitation at other treatment centers. We believe that this will fill an unmet need in the community for an organized approach to this level of care. Advantages of the Kolmac Continuing Care Center include:
