Chemical Dependency Counselor (all locations)Counselors are responsible for individually counseling patients, acting as co-therapist in treatment groups, organizing and making didactic presentations, and assisting the medical staff in managing patients undergoing ambulatory detoxification. In addition, they consult with patients' family members and referral sources in order to coordinate patient's treatment and other aspects of the patient's life. Counselors must be certified and have a minimum of two years experience working with alcohol and drug dependant people. If in recovery from alcohol or drug dependency, counselors must have at least five years of continuous sobriety. Intake Specialist: (Silver Spring, MD)The Intake Specialist's responsibilities would include describing the clinical program to callers, obtaining insurance information from callers, verifying insurance eligibility and benefits, scheduling intake appointments and communicating certification requirements to the intake staff. In addition, they would also send admission letters and prepare monthly progress reports for referral sources. The Intake Specialist must be a high school graduate with skills in handling multiple calls, dealing with the public, and working with computers and other office equipment. Billing Specialist: (Silver Spring, MD)Our Billing Specialists are responsible for processing claims and patient statements, claim follow-up with managed care companies, responding to patient inquiries regarding their accounts, posting payments and verifying insurance benefits. Billing Specialists must be high school graduates. They should also have experience working with managed care companies and handling patient accounts. Medical Secretary / Receptionist: (All Locations)Medical Secretaries/Receptionists are responsible for managing telephones, greeting patients, creating and maintaining patient records and collecting co-payments. Medical Secretaries/Receptionists must be high school graduates. They should also have good organizational skills, typing skills, working knowledge of computers and experience working with the public.
